Possessing a rare combination of musical instinct, unique performance style, and technique, Anson K. Sin has found success in performances and competitions worldwide. He was first recognized for his debut performance with the Port Townsend Symphony Orchestra, at the age of eighteen, for which he received glowing reviews from critics: “Phenomenal in both the violin and the piano,” wrote Peninsula Daily News. “His beautiful playing is lovely, intimate, impression all in one… I could hear crisp, clear lines and details… brilliant control of the characters… very convincing style and bravura!,“ wrote Oregon Music Teachers National Association. Anson has performed as a concert pianist Internationally in many historical concert halls in the world, including New York City - Carnegie Hall and Hong Kong Cultural Center.

 

While Sin is pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Oregon, he serves as a graduate employee instructing private piano classes and accompanying studios in the University’s School of Music and Dance. He now holds double Master's degrees, namely Piano Pedagogy and Piano Performance. In 2021, Sin published his first document, Stretching Exercises from Martial Arts and Pre-Conditioning Piano Exercises with Scores and Video.

 

As a music educator, Anson teaches both undergraduate and graduate students in piano performance courses and leads weekly assembly piano classes at the University of Oregon/Eugene. Additionally, Sin promotes and teaches private piano lessons for all ages in the community. He also serves as a music resident artist at a prestigious music school for young students in Lane County. In 2022, Sin will be the guest artist at Western Washington University, Peninsula College, Southern Oregon University, Grande Ronde Symphony Orchestra, and Juneau Arts and Culture Center.

 

Anson earned the Silver award in Manhattan International Young Artists Music Festival Competition leading to his performance at New York Carnegie Hall in July 2017. Also, Sin was the winner in Grande Ronde Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2019 and 2022.

 

Anson established the social media platform on the internet, ‘Garlic Music Zone Channel’, to encourage classical piano music via illustration.
